Hollar - New Closeout Discount Website - Hits and Misses

I had read on several websites that I subscribe to recommending "Hollar", which is a new closeout/discount website.

I placed an order on 11/26/16 and received my order on 12/2/16.

I ordered:

• Nikki Balerina Doll - $5
• Animal Bath Glove  - $1
• Melissa and Doug World Learning Map - $2
• 6 Color Glitter - $3
• Toilet seat cover - $1

The Hits:

• Prices are low - most prices are under $10
• Shipping if your order under $25, depending on what you get, will be around $4.95
• Name brand products:  Barbie, Melissa and Doug, Stila, NYX, Revlon,
• Free Shipping with order over $25
• They seem to have other different periodic promotions.  When I signed up shipping on the first order was free.
• It has a Search option if you are looking for a specific item
• The categories are well organized to find what you might be looking for Toy, Makeup, Household goods, etc.) and sometimes (but not always) filter options within the categories.

The Misses:

• You must order a minimum of $10.00.  Website will not allow you to check out if you don't.
• I used a referral code to get the $2 credit and it showed in my account, but when I checked out it disappeared and I did not receive the discount.  I have contacted the company but have not heard back yet.
• Turnover is fast and constant,; you don't want to put something in your cart and leave and come quite a bit later as the item may be gone.
• Not all categories have "filter" options, for example the"As Seen on TV" doesn't.

On the Barbie, in checking prices elsewhere, Walmart is selling for $5, but at ToyRUS she is $9.99 but out of stock, and on Amazon prices started at $11.96

My opinion is that you have the possibility to get some great deals, you might want to quickly check what the going price elsewhere is for the product, but don't wait too long or it will be gone.

Currently, they are having a promotion on toys using the code SANTA and your discount amount depends on how much you spend on toys, but you must order by 12/12/16 to receive by Christmas.
