I am middle-aged empty nester that was a single mom to a now twenty-something son.

I have worked in Accounting for the past five years.

I started this blog as a New Year's Resolution for 2017 to review items, and post things at are frugal, sewing, beauty products and foodie journey.

On the beauty part, I know I am not, but realize makeup can do a lot to improve me.  When I was younger I used to be really into makeup and it continued through adulthood,but after I started working 3rd shift I took a 10+ year hiatus from it from the most part. I got started again after I realized I had to buy all new makeup for a friend's son wedding, so it truly is a journey and adventure as there are so many more products and brands on the market now.

I have a lot of experience being frugal and being a foodie; my guilty pleasure has always been dining out but I now also want to get into more healthy cooking.

I have been sewing since I was around 8 years old and I have moderate experience sewing (but only got as far as a tailoring as far as education).  I do charity sewing for Dress A Girl Around The World.

I also live in Fort Wayne and it has been my home for overt 30 years and I intend to include content about the city too, but the Frugal Sew Beauty Foodie in Fort Wayne seemed a little wordy.

I have a Bachelor's degree with a double major in Radio, Television, and Motion Pictures and Political Science and completed an internship at an ad agency in Indianapolis.  Before and during college did short stints in food service industry and out of college in retail. 

I also went through a modeling course after college to learn how to better present myself as were most of those in the course; only one gal wanted to pursue a career.  Going in I knew I was too short with poor posture and was a size 12 which was too chunky even for plus size at that time.  I further found out I have a strange walk that is a combination of a bounce of a bounce while walking on eggshells.

Since then  have worked mostly in Banking and 5 years Call Center until it closed.
