$1 Sliders at Arbys - Limited Time Only

For a limited time only, Arby's has $1 Sliders in six different types where I live:
  • Ham and Cheese
  • Jalapeno Roast Beef
  • Turkey and Cheese
  • Roast Beef and Cheese
  • Corned Beef and Cheese
  • Chicken and Cheese
The website indicates another option, Buffalo Chicken which has Parmesan peppercorn Ranch Sauce and a Spicy Buffalo Sauce but it was not offered where I live, but might be elsewhere.

The meat comes up a bun that is more like the texture and size of dinner roll and comes in an open box.

The sandwiches have a higher than standard bread to meat ratio and they are more filling than they look.

One would make for an after-school or work sandwich if you had activities and wouldn't be having dinner until later and two are enough for dinner on the go.

Like with most of their sandwiches you will need to be sure to ask for the condiment that you want. The only drawback is that it is hard to get the packet to come out evenly on the bun and after you splooge it out on the bun and put it on top of the sandwich and swish it around a bit so it is more evenly distributed.

Matchbox Playset - $4.19 at Walgreen

Walgreen has on sale Matchbox playset on sale for $4.19 cents,

Each set is a little bigger than an adult-sized hand and has a themed set, a matchbox car and one or small figures.

The ones at my local store had:
  • Shark Pier Playset
  • Carwash Playset
  • Bank Alarm Playset
These sets are not eligible for the "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" as they are marked down 40%.

I purchased one as it will fit in a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child that collects shoeboxes full of small items in November to send to children in disadvantaged areas of the world.

L'OREAL COLOUR RICHE GLOSSY BALMS - Review - "Pink Me Up" - Review

The above usually runs around $7.99-$8.99, but Walgreens has these on clearance for $4.19 (can vary by location) and there is a $1 off Coupon on the January booklet in store, good until 1/28/17 and you can score one for $3.19 + tax.

The product is a cross between a lip gloss and balm in a crayon point that twists up like a tube of lipstick.  It moisturizes like a lip balm but provides color and shine like a gloss.

Although the ads for it indicate that it lasts for "hours on end" it last as long as a typical balm or gloss and you will need to reapply a few times a day.

The shade above is 240 and is called "Pink Me Up" and I think the product is a lighter shade than the outside of the case but close in the color.

I like this product and it is something I would purchase again and try in other shades (if it is not discontinued).

Almay Intense I-Color Party Brights - Green Eyes - Review

I scored the above Almay Intense I-Color Party Brights for green eyes for a mere $2.19 after coupon (in the January Coupon booklet - take $2 off Almay Cosmetics - coupon is good through 1/28/17),  The product also comes in cases for brown, blue and hazel eyes.
Photo:  Almay's website
The case has an interesting design and it is set up to take the guesswork out of picking out colors for contouring that go together to highlight your eye color.  Although I only have a bit of olive green color around my pupils, it does seem to highlight at color.

Although the curved wand that fits in the upper right side of the case is unique and different, it also feels awkward in applying but will work so you can carry the case even in a small purse, but as I use at home I use a different wand or brush.

Here is the back of the package the shows how to apply, but as the predominant color in the case is shaped like an eye, it is rather self-explanatory.

Here is a swatch of the colors.  I would try them on and take a picture, but I just waxed my eyebrows and the area is still red and tender.

On this case for green eyes, the main color is a shimmery gold. For a daytime look, you can just apply as normal and it is will be fine, but if you want a look for later, you are probably going to want to apply more.

The contour is a dark purple and is more of a night-time look and if you want to wear it during the day, you are probably going to want to use a light hand and blend, blend, blend or you will look very made up.

The highlight color is a light champagne color with subtle shimmer.  It doesn't look like you have put it on if you look straight on in the mirror, but if you turn your head, you can  see how it catches the light a bit,   I think just a bit for day or night would be appropriate, but I also use a bit on the center of my eyelid to open up that area.

$1 AFTER COUPON & REBATE - CYNTHIA ROWLEY COPY PAPER - 3 REAMS AT STAPLES - IN STORE ONLY

Right now until 1/28/17, Staples has a promotion where you can get a box like the above of 3 reams of copy paper for only $1 after Coupon and Rebate.

The above box is covered in plastic is why it appears a little dull.  It is a lovely flower print on a blue background and would be great for storing items or even putting a gift in after it is empty.

First, you need to either print off of show on your Smartphone at the store the coupon for

3 Reams of Cynthia Rowley Copy Paper which is normally $14.99.  The coupon discounts the paper to $9.99 and also rings up .01 for Staples Paper Offer.   After it prints the receipt, it will print off the rebate receipt and rebate form.

Below is a link to the rebate form online. I was able to fill it out in less than 2 minutes.  You will need the rebate portion of the receipt; specifically the 16 digit number at the bottom of the paper.

You can either fill out the form and mail it in or complete the form online at the link below.   You will receive a prepaid Visa.  The only downside is it will take awhile to get.   The rebate form indicates it will take 4-6 weeks, but the online rebate form indicated it will take 9-11 weeks.

If you have a Staples Reward Card you can earn a few points or if you don't have a card, you can quickly sign up for one while in-store.

Get a $8.99 Visa (R) Prepaid Card on a Cynthia Rowley Copy Paper 8.5 x 11 Inch Letter Size 500 Sheets Ream 3 Reams Carton (SKU 1809159) at Staples Stores ONLY

SINFUL COLORS NAIL POLISH COLLABORATION WITH MAKEUP ARTIST/YOUTUBER KANDEE JOHNSON - $1.99 A BOTTLE-KANFETTI

Last week at Meijers I spotted this display and was happy see a Makeup Artist/Youtuber that I follow, Kandee Johnson had done a collaboration with Sinful Colors for a line of nail colors.

I picked up a bottle of "Kanfetti" and it is a clear polish full of confetti and glitter of pastel pink, blue and green and yellow that gives a sparkly candy coated sprinkles look.

While my nails are not the best showcase for this as I do a lot typing at my job and they are not very long, I used it over a purple color (Zoya's nail polish in "Lael") and it almost gives an instant "Galaxy" look nail from a distance.  I love this polish and looking forward to trying it on top of other colors of nail polish.
To find out where her this line is sold you can visit Sinful Color's website and type in your zip code and it will show locations.  Where I live it is Meijer's, Walgreens and Kroger.

Picture of bottle and swatch on white paper below.

Just today Kandee announced the promotion on her site on the video below and shows all of the colors and the reasons she picked them.

New Kellogg's Cinnamon Frosted Flakes - Review

At the behest of Twitter posts requesting a Cinnamon Frosted Flakes, a year ago the company began working on finding the right and after trying 100 different variations they now have the product on local grocery shelves.

I picked up a box at our local Meijer's superstore and it was on sale 2 for $5.

Although on the box it appears to have Cinnamon flecks, when I poured the cereal into the bowl the appearance was the same as regular Frosted Flakes.

When I opened the box I immediately smelled a whiff of Cinnamon and was concerned the flavor might be overpowering, but it was not; it was more of a hint of Cinnamon.

By comparison to another Cinnamony Cereal, its competitor Cinnamon Toast Crunch it has much less sugar and cinnamon and a good option if you are looking for a more grown-up version of a Cinnamon cereal and to cut down on sugar.

The only thing is it takes a little getting used to if you are been a long term Frosted Flakes lover as you are used to a certain taste with that texture and the first few spoonfuls tasted funny to me because of that on the first bowl that I had and you may have the same objection especially from children, but once you get past that it is enjoyable.

The new cinnamon version is similar to the original as far as having 10 grams sugar in a 3/4 cup serving and is 110 calories without milk.
